The Welcome Project

Welcome to the heart of Oakhill's transformative journey - The Welcome Project.

What started as a necessary update to our gymnasium has grown into an exciting vision for the future of Oakhill Day School. The Welcome Project is a bold step forward, bringing together our master campus plan with key improvements that will elevate both our facilities and our sense of community. Over the next two years, this initiative will help create a campus that reflects the excellence of our academics—a space designed to inspire, nurture well-being, and foster inclusivity. We are deeply grateful to our generous donor base of families and friends, whose unwavering support makes it possible to turn this vision into reality. Together, we can build a future that matches the high-quality education Oakhill provides.

Phase I

Phase One of The Welcome Project brings exciting updates with the addition of new bathrooms and an inviting event lobby entrance off the gym. These updates will make the gym a central hub for events, with better facilities to comfortably host large crowds. The new design also allows guests to come and go during games and performances without interrupting the action, ensuring a more enjoyable experience for everyone.

Phase II

Phase Two of the Welcome Project: The New Auxiliary Gym

As part of Oakhill’s commitment to providing state-of-the-art facilities, Phase Two of the Welcome Project focuses on the construction of a new auxiliary gym—an exciting milestone envisioned during our master planning session with the board just a few years ago and now becoming a reality.

This gym represents the largest square footage increase in the history of our main campus, transforming not only how we use our space but also how Oakhill is seen in the community. With this expanded footprint, we’ll have the room to support all students and programs, including athletic practices/games, drama productions, musicals, graduation ceremonies, large-scale events and much more!

The Welcome Project was designed with this addition in mind, ensuring it seamlessly integrates into our campus while elevating Oakhill’s presence and impact.

The new auxiliary gym is more than just a building—it’s a transformation for our students, families, and community. It embodies projects goal: opening doors to an elevated experience.

Estimated Timeline: Break ground 2026 or when funds are raised to begin project.

Phase 3: The Future Awaits

While the date for Phase 3 remains uncertain, the full picture of Oakhill’s campus transformation is coming into focus. With each step, we’re laying the groundwork for even greater possibilities. Stay tuned—exciting things are on the horizon, and we can’t wait to share them with you.

The best is yet to come.
